Founder · PCB & Embedded Systems Engineer
Hi, I'm Razlan.
I'm a Malaysian electronics engineer who has spent my whole career where hardware has to
actually work — on the semiconductor test floor and in the lab, not just on a screen.
I design the multi-layer motor-controller PCBs behind wearable exoskeletons —
STM32/NXP MCUs, high-speed memory (LPDDR4, eMMC), closed-loop FOC motor control, and
CAN/SPI/I2C/UART throughout, taken all the way from prototype to mass production. Alongside that
I've designed power circuitry and test boards for semiconductor production, so I
know exactly what separates a board that passes at the fab from one that comes back.
In my own time I build the hardware I wish existed: flyingturtle!, an FPV drone
running a self-designed STM32F4 flight controller and a custom FOC-driven ESC;
flick!, a wearable motion sensor doing on-device AI inference on an MCU + IMU;
and fluent!, an autonomous car platform. I hold a first-class Master's in
Electronic Engineering, and I'm pursuing a PhD at Universiti Malaya. I started Fly Turtle to
bring that same rigor to Malaysian startups and makers — a board designed right, without the
enterprise price tag.
Things I've designed & built
- Prototype → mass production across the full product lifecycle
- Multi-layer & high-speed PCB design (PADS, KiCad)
- PhD candidate in AI robotics
